We absolutely loved our stay at the Niseko Grand Hotel. Our group of 3 stayed in one of the traditional tatami rooms and I personally loved the futons and thought they were quite comfortable. Please be aware that the bathroom in the room is quite small, so a group with more than 3 people might want to spring for a bigger room. All of our interactions with the staff were super friendly and the hotel itself was super nice and quaint. The Onsen at the hotel was also AMAZING and was the perfect treatment for our after-skiing aches and pains. We were also pretty impressed with the restaurant at the hotel, both for breakfast and dinner. The staff at the restaurant were some of the nicest people we met while in Japan and the food was pretty great (especially when compared to the overpriced, underwhelming options available elsewhere in Niseko). We really enjoyed our stay here and will certainly be back if we find ourselves in Niseko again.

We reserved from this Onsen hotel a traditional Japanese room for 10 days as our base for backcountry and freeriding skiing at the Niseko region and found it a good choice and good value for money. We had a rental car so we could easily get around and a car is recommended. There is a shuttle bus service though. It was just a few minutes drive to Annupuri gondola, 20 min to Hirafu Ace gondola parking lot, one hour to Rusutsu, 70 min to Kiroro. Plenty of backcountry skiing mountain peaks very near such as Chisenupuri. Lots of restaurants within short driving distance. The breakfast is good and available from 7 am. After skiing the Onsen is the most perfect place to relax after a hard day, and is so good that even Japanese guests visit there. With room service you get traditional clean Kimono every day and towels for the Onsen. The staff is most helpful and polite.

We stayed here for a family ski trip and it was great. The staff were always professional and accomodating, buffet breakfast and dinner (we had dinner in the hotel twice) was great, and the shuttle bus to the various resorts was convenient. Email communication to answer questions before our stay was excellent and booking a shuttle to get us to and from Niseko station was fairly easy. The on site onsen is a bonus but can be a it crowded at times (peak ski season so it was somewhat expected). Oh and the rooms were great and there are washing machines and dryers on site which were cheap and easy to use.

The place was clean, the service was great and the location was convenient to get to several ski resorts. The outdoor mixed gender onsen was a nice romantic way to spend time with my wife. Not many places in Japan offer this experience, so it is a must try experience. As we booked our accommodation late, we had to make 2 separate bookings to ensure we can stay there through out our trip. The staff were very nice to make sure we have 1 room to stay in for the whole trip instead of 2 rooms (which would have required us to pack and unpack again).
